SAT Scores Should Stick to Scholarship

SAT Scores Should Stick to Scholarship

The decision by the College Board to add an index of cultural (?) adversity to its reports on applicants for college admission dilutes the usefulness of the SAT as an ingredient in the evaluation of the  desirability of individual prospective members of a college’s student body  The best institutions will already include factors such as race, income levels, neighborhood and ethnic diversity, etc. in their selection process.  Those that are best at achieving enviable learning environments will ideally be rewarded with a respected reputation as well as supportive alumni.  The College Board should not act as the arbiter of how a college constructs its student body.    Assuming this role will make it vulnerable to being gamed by more manipulators than just test answer changers.
