Dr. Redfield’s conclusion that the COVID-19 virus must have originated in the Wuhan laboratory and escaped accidently only makes it clear that the first thing that scientists working with such potentially deadly substances ought to be restricted by this absolute rule:  The first objective of any experimentation must be discovery of an effective method for curing or preventing harmful infection of any other organism outside the controlled laboratory environment.
