Reporting on Caribbean Boat Bombings Will Kill Democracy
As Professor Haque said on X, according to the 12/6/2025 NYT, the deadly 9/2/2025 attack on an alleged drug-smuggling boat was nothing less than murder. In fact, the entire illegal bombing campaign on boats allegedly smuggling prohibited narcotics for importation into the U.S. is a criminal violation of both American and international law.
Admiral Bradley carried out an illegal order; and both Secretary Hegseth and President Trump are guilty of ordering him to kill the alleged smugglers without due process.Iis shameful how the press has totally swallowed the Trump Administration’s narrative that the interdiction of unverified drug smugglers on the high seas is somehow appropriate military action. The commercial motives of our “fourth estate” will be just as responsible as anyone else when we lose our liberal democracy forever.
